They are organized as 64/128/256 words of 16 bitseach when the ORG pin is connected to VCC (or unconnected) and 128/256/512 words of 8 bits (1 byte)each when the ORG pin is tied to ground. The devices are fabricated with proprietary advanced CMOSprocess for low power and low voltage applications. These devices are available in standard 8-leadPDIP, 8-lead JEDEC SOIC and 8-lead TSSOP packages. Our extended VCC range (1.8V to 5.5V)The FT93C46/56/66 is enabled through the Chip Select pin (CS), and accessed via a 3-wire serialinterface consisting of Data Input (DI), Data Output (DO), and Shift Clock (SCL). Upon receiving a READinstruction at DI, the address is decoded and the data is clocked out serially on the data output pin DO.The WRITE cycle is completely self-timed and no separate ERASE cycle is required before WRITE. TheWRITE cycle is only enabled when the part is in the ERASE/WRITE ENABLE state. Once a devicebegins its self-timed program procedure, the data out pin (DO) can indicate the READY/BUSY status by© 2013 Fremont Micro Devices Inc.DS93CXX-A-page1

93C46/A, 93C56/A, 93C66/A(A) READThe Read (READ) instruction contains the Address code for the memory location to be read. After theinstruction and address are decoded, data from the selected memory location is available at the serialoutput pin DO. Output data changes are synchronized with the rising edges of serial clock SK. Itshould be noted that when a dummy bit (logic “0”) precedes the 8- or 16-bit data output string. To assure data integrity, the part automatically goes into the Erase/Write Disable (EWDS) state whenpower is first applied. An Erase/Write Enable (EWEN) instruction must be executed first before anyprogramming instructions can be carried out. Please note that once in the Erase/Write Enable state, programming remains enabled until an Erase/Write Disable (EWDS) instruction is executed or VCC(C) ERASE/WRITE DISABLETo protect against accidental data disturb, the Erase/Write Disable (EWDS) instruction disables allprogramming modes and should be executed after all programming operations. The operation of theREAD instruction is independent of both the EWEN and EWDS instructions and can be executed at(D) ERASEThe Erase (ERASE) instruction programs all bits in the specified memory location to the logical “1”state. The self-timed erase cycle starts once the ERASE instruction and address are decoded. TheDO pin outputs the READY/BUSY status of the part if CS is brought high after being kept low for aminimum of 250 ns (tCS). A logic “1” at pin DO indicates that the selected memory location has beenerased, and the part is ready for another instruction. The Write (WRITE) instruction contains the 8 or 16 bits of data to be written into the specified memorylocation. The self-timed programming cycle, tWP, starts after the last bit of data is received at serialdata input pin DI. The DO pin outputs the READY/BUSY status of the part if CS is brought high afterbeing kept low for a minimum of 250 ns (tCS). A logic “0” at DO indicates that programming is still inprogress. A logic “1” indicates that the memory location at the specified address has been written withthe data pattern contained in the instruction and the part is ready for further instructions. AREADY/BUSY status cannot be obtained if the CS is brought high after the end of the self-timed(F) ERASE ALLThe Erase All (ERAL) instruction programs every bit in the memory array to the logic “1” state and isprimarily used for testing purposes. The DO pin outputs the READY/BUSY status of the part if CS isbrought high after being kept low for a minimum of 250 ns (tCS). The ERAL instruction is valid only at(G) WRITE ALLThe Write All (WRAL) instruction programs all memory locations with the data patterns specified in theinstruction. The DO pin outputs the READY/BUSY status of the part if CS is brought high after beingkept low for a minimum of 250 ns (tCS). The WRAL instruction is valid only at VCC = 5.0V ± 10%.Confidential Rev. 0.8

When using the so8 adapter in the zif socket it works perfectly. Jan 10, 2.
Why is using a battery causing my ATtiny85 to malfunction? But what is the format of the data? Just as the title states I wish to flash a 93c56 EEPROM in my jeep cherokee gauge cluster because my old gauge cluster has malfunctioned and the new one will have incorrect millage on the odometer. I would still like to know why it is able to write but not read?
Apr 30, 1, The reviews for this clip dont mention this problem, and it is sold by the same company that sells the programmer. My best guess is a flaky connection on one of the wire to pin connections at the back end of the clip.
I just wonder if moving the chip might be a solution.
And if so how would I go about doing this? This is why we test Posted by nsaspook in forum: Your name or email address: Posted by nimaid in forum: If you had the appropriate sw from the manufacturer I bet you could do eprom via the OBDII connector – but I also bet they’re not telling you how! Do you already have an account? Why is so8 test clip causing read errors with 93C56 eeprom (TL866 programmer)?
I have checked the pins of the clip and they are all correct and if they weren’t it shouldn’t be able to write to the eeprom If this were a serial port I might try slowing down the bitrate, but this programmer seems to have no settings at all. Is there a connector next to this chip which does this?
Btw the chip is not soldered to anything, it is attached only to the test clip Chinese manufacturer of the programmer: And here are a few other bit values, spliced together to save space In every case except FFFFthe even numbered bits 0,2,4, Ill see what I can do about separating that chip. Why is so8 test clip causing read errors with 93C56 eeprom TL programmer?
It may be cheaper and less risky to go to a Cherokee dealer and get him to do it Digital Signal Processing is the mathematical manipulation of an information signal, such as audio, temperature, voice, and video and modify or improve them in some manner.Serial Eeprom Programmer
This is what it looks like when using the clip: Quote of the day. Not to mention so many people in the jeep community have arduinos and would benefit from this. No clue how do I go about getting this info? Nov 5, 19 0.Buy Products Online from China Wholesalers at
I am trying to read an Atmel 93C56B eeprom, so8 surface mount package, with this programmer. I just figured why not try with my arduino and learn a thing or two. I’ll see if I can find my old bitbasher – but given the datasheet you could figure it out. Eepron, my password is: This is what it should look like: I’ll look into that cloning. Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers.
Writing to the eeprom isn’t too hard if you have access to the pins. Mio spirit 575 maps download.
But not that easy. Use this tutorial to get your FPGA development environment setup and eeproj the tool set and basic development process. Jan 11, 3. The test clip works fine when writing data also.
It won’t be easy, as eperom don’t want crooks ‘clocking’ the mileage. Two different of those same chip were tested However Using another 93c56 from another manufacturer gives no similar error. I have also tried 8dip versions of this eeprom in this same programmer and they never give errors so I must assume it is eepprom clip. If Eeprmo do go about pulling the code, is there a circuit that needs setup and any pre written code for this? The errors are consistent and seem to happen with every bit value except FFFF.93C56 – x8(2k) Serial CMOS EEPROM Technical Data93c56 Eeprom Programmer
No, create an account now. Discussion in ‘ Embedded Systems and Microcontrollers ‘ started by cdsJan 10, I actually did do some googling and most people either take it to the dealership or reflash it with an EEPROM flasher.
However when I use the test eeproomit is giving me read errors on every other bit. There must be a procedure to clone the new cluster from the old.TOP 10 Related
